Equipment financing

Financing backed by the equipment.

Emberline Capital places equipment requests with lenders that finance the asset itself, whether you are buying from a dealer, refinancing equipment you own or raising cash through a sale-leaseback. The application covers the equipment and the business that will use it.

  • Restaurant, retail, construction, transportation, medical and manufacturing equipment
  • New and used purchases, refinancing and sale-leaseback
  • Businesses with the equipment picked out and a vendor quote ready

The equipment and the business

The equipment secures the loan. The business that runs it is what sizes it.

Is the equipment new or used?

New equipment carries the longest terms and the highest advance against cost.

Hours, miles and the serial number are what a lender uses to value used equipment. Leave them blank on a new unit.

The address of the business taking on the debt, which is also where the equipment will be based.

Profit after operating expenses, before the payment on this equipment. The loan is sized off this number.

The business

The entity that will sign the note and operate the equipment.

Enter 0 if the business was formed this year.

The guarantor

The owner is underwritten alongside the equipment. This is your half. We already have your name and how to reach you.

Your capacity

Cash and marketable securities, before the down payment.

Ownership
Will anyone else own 20% or more of the business?

Anyone at 20% or more personally guarantees the loan.

What the lender needs on the equipment

The quote is what prices the loan, and the bank statements are what size it. Those are the documents every equipment file starts with.

Attach what you have. Nothing here holds up the review. The rest can go up later in your secure application.

Supporting documents

A personal financial statement, the current equipment schedule, an appraisal on a used unit, insurance certificates, and anything else already in hand. No limit on how many.

PDF, JPG, PNG, Excel or Word, up to 100 MB per file. Titles, the UCC search and proof of insurance come later in the secure application.

    Review and submit

Check the numbers on the equipment. You can go back and change anything.

    Your application is in.

Your equipment application is with Emberline Capital's lending partners. Your secure portal is next: the rest of the application continues there, and lender responses arrive there as they come in.

    Lenders that finance equipment.

The quote and the operating numbers go to lenders in equipment finance, from banks and manufacturer finance companies on new units to independent lessors on used and specialty machines.

    Every category

Commercial kitchens and point-of-sale systems, trucks and trailers, CNC and press lines, medical and dental suites, forklifts and server rooms.

    On the dealer’s schedule

A complete file lets the lender approve the quote quickly, so the delivery date can hold.

    Offers that compare cleanly

Every lender works from the same quote and bank statements, so rate, term and advance line up.

    From application to delivery.

The portal shows where the file stands until the equipment arrives.

    1. 1

      Apply

    3. 3

      Documents

The vendor quote, bank statements and tax returns are uploaded once to one file.

    4. 4

      Term sheet

Rate, term, payment and the advance against cost come back to your portal.

    5. 5

      Pay the vendor

The lender pays the dealer, and the file stays in your portal until the equipment is delivered.

    Terms that match the asset

Most equipment financing runs 24 to 84 months, measured against how long the equipment will earn.

    Room for larger orders

A fleet or a full production line can be split among lenders so the whole order gets funded.

    New, used or already yours

A dealer purchase, a private-party unit, a refinance of equipment you own or a sale-leaseback that frees up cash.
